Writer and judge

A writer model drafts the listing. A separate judge grades buyer risk for IP, policy and quality, and only major issues hold an image back.

Cost-aware rendering

Background removal plus an upscale router: Real-ESRGAN for small sources, Topaz above 2.1 MP, each priced per output megapixel.

Mockup compositor

Frame TVs, mugs, tumblers, tees and pillows with measured print zones. A typography engine outlines slogans into 4500 × 5400 print vectors.

Multi-tenant SaaS

Field notes

Problems we caught before customers did.

Credibility lives in the details. A few entries from the production history of these three products.

QuickCurateFixed

Etsy's SKU field holds 32 characters. Our design IDs had 36.

SKU stamping had been failing without an error. We changed the encoding and backfilled all 581 live listings in one pass.

DollarArtStoreFixed

A partial refund nearly erased a customer's library.

Testing with a real refund showed the reconciler would drop the whole order and remove 23 owned designs. Fixed before launch.

ConciergeTestPrepCaught

The inherited answer keys had 137 problems.

An audit of legacy ISEE material logged wrong keys, questions with no correct choice and items with two defensible answers. Nothing from the old bank ships unverified.

QuickCurateRebuilt

Near-duplicate detection, rebuilt on a perceptual hash.

Moving from an average hash to a DCT perceptual hash cut false duplicate holds by about 50× on a real library.

QuickCurateFixed

Access tokens can die in the middle of a transaction.

Etsy rotates refresh tokens and can revoke access early. Every step of the draft chain retries once with a fresh token and never reuses the rejected one.

QuickCurateFixed

A 177 MB PNG is not a print file.

An oversized upscale crashed the print provider and the worker. Masters are now capped at target size and uploads at twice the print area.

How we work.

Four habits, in the order they happen. They are why the products above are still running.

    Model the economics

    Before code, we price the unit. Every AI call, render and API request gets a cost, so pricing is decided with data.

    QuickCurate meters image reviews, not listings. Listing-based plans would lose money on heavy users.

  2. 02

    Build in verified slices

    Typed data, pure functions and migrations that are safe to run twice. Each slice ships with tests and a written record.

    770+ automated tests on QuickCurate, with a runbook for every operation.

  3. 03

    Prove it live

    Acceptance runs on the real platforms with real test orders, real refunds and real drafts. Passing tests is where verification starts.

    Hosting cutover passed a five-row end-to-end run before any customer touched it.

  4. 04

    Operate what we ship

    Scheduled audits, alerting, cost ledgers and retry-safe jobs. We look for problems before customers report them.

    Daily audit on DollarArtStore gift codes, with a desktop alert on abuse patterns.
